Splitter Design for Central Offices

This project was designing and implementing a splitter for Central Offices which was done in the FCCC company.

In the xDSL technology the traffic of the speech and data are transferred through a common line. The CO Splitter Modules are parts of the xDSL technology that separate the higher frequencies, related to the data, from the lower frequencies of the speech in order to direct the signals with higher frequencies to Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers (DSLAMs), and lower frequencies to Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

These modules basically consist of an LPF which must meet special necessities such as certain attenuation and time delays in certain frequencies.
