My MSc project on localization in Wireless Sensor Networks using the Received Signal Strength (RSSI) method. Accessing node-location information cheaply is a vital need in WSNs; range-based methods use range/angle information but typically need extra hardware, while range-free methods use connectivity. The work proposed an adaptive environmental-modeling approach to improve RSSI-based localization.
